As a practitioner and researcher in the field of Consciousness and Performance, Vaneshran has earned a Fulbright Scholarship in 2013, in residence at St Francis College in New York City, where he developed and taught his own course titled South African Literature in Performance (He also taught, lectured and performed at various institutions across Manhattan and Brooklyn, which included designing and facilitating an experiential arts programme for the Hungerford Institute’s Special Needs learners on Staten Island). In 2011 Vaneshran presented his work at the World Conference of Consciousness in Performance, Theatre, Literature and the Arts at Lincoln University in the United Kingdom in collaboration with writer and educator, Professor Kriben Pillay from the University of Kwazulu Natal. He has lectured at Cape Town City Varsity, University of Cape Town, St Francis College (Brooklyn NYC) and at the University of Kwazulu Natal.
